This is a story about Anne Frank, about her spirit while she was in hiding.
Free to live her life,
But caged like a bird.
No room to fly.
No place to spread her wings.

Looking down at a marching line,
Watching all the crying hearts.
She knew they were leaving,
Marching to die.

A free spirit,
Cornered by maturity.
Adolescence was her way of life,
Thrust into a fear of capture.

Dreams of a girl thrown away,
Hoping for a rescue.
But one day decided her fate.
No where to run.

A betrayal like no other,
A traitor to her world.
Out of the cage and into the sky,
She lived her life with no room to fly.
