this is a dark poem
Cold bitter wind like ice
Cuts through me with little knives
Tears dry on my frozen face
Memories of a lost embrace

I stand here and stare through time
Back to when the world was mine
Happiness flowed out of me
When someone's love made me free

But now I'm here and alone
Dark and frozen like a stone
Lifeless, a lonely heart and soul
Where the warmth of love is no more
