HOLE is a short weird dialogue between two guys looking at a hole
HOLE

“That’s a deep hole, dude”

“I know”

“What will you do if you fall in?”

“…”

“Well, my advice to you is don’t fall in”

“I, I, don’t think that’s my choice to make”

“I’ve watched you dude. Every time you check out this hole you get closer and closer.”

“Like I said: not my choice.”

“How far down do you think it goes?”

“I’ll let you know.”

“What does THAT mean?”

“I fell in a while ago”

“Huh?”

“...”

“Shut up. You’re weirding me out man!”

“I'll tell you what it's like.”

“Alright fine, elaborate.”

“I feel like I’m in two places at once. It’s like I see you and the rest of the world but at the same time I see darkness. Every so often there’s a root or outcropping that I try to grab onto and sometimes I get it. I’ll begin to climb back out but eventually I’ll grasp onto something and it gives way under my weight. Then the darkness consumes me as I resume my descent.”

“you ARE messed up.”

“You think I’m not aware of this! Sometimes I can focus on the outside world enough that I forget about the falling. That only lasts for so long though. Then it is always followed by a period where all I can feel is the falling. All I can taste the darkness. The flavor doesn’t leave. It’s like... I don’t know what it’s like. I’ve never tasted anything like it. It makes me want to wretch.”

“Um… ok. Well, I’ve gotta go. Let me know if you need anything. I’ll see you around”

“Yeah, maybe.”
