Shadows

A denizen of the cruel jungle,

I’m the King Masochist to fear.

I enjoy the constant rumble

Of drums and the pain of a spear.



Nobody could save me from my demise,

the destitute sands of a selfish land.

I devour the sweet scent of lies

With a bruised and broken hand.



My illicit dreams rest unknown,

I live isolated in this rocky heath.

These stunning evil seeds I’ve sown

Bury the monster that lies beneath.
