A Memory

Time measured in a memory,
mirrored in the mind;
an image left to lock away,
the beauty is the find.

A lake reflection, shimmering
on waters shining clear;
ripples in succession, dance
to a music they can hear.

As a golden sun has traveled west
all that breathes will sigh,
and beauty veiled by the night
will bid a last goodbye.
