Poem I wrote about the thoughts that come and go in my mind.
Sitting in a pool of thoughts I begin to wonder
Soaking in memories of days yet to plunder
I begin to absorb the past as my future
Forward of the now and slightly south of yesterday
The future of things become filled with words I say
The space is filled with unwanted thoughts of the day
The memories are lost and shall not retrieve
The now takes hold with lightning speed
Future holds something maybe a key
It all pours out into an empty need
Speaking on yesterday now and forever
And of tomorrow today probably not ever
It drops from my mind drip by drip
Like falling rain in time I can’t get a grip
Full with nothing to share or give without waste
Unfelt of something unknown to this place
Unknown to someone who has seen only I
Known to no one until someday I die
It is only my mind that you can’t see
My mind is nothing because it is only me
Something in my mind gives an image to you
All for nothing and nothing to do
One for something to see as I say
My thoughts keep going day after day
Starting and stopping who is to say
All for nothing until someday
When it will all end, deleted dismay
