A little story about a confused kid.
Life was so simple 'till you were six. You had to go to school. You really didn't know you would have to go to school. Well some of you knew cuz your parents told you. But, no, not me, my parents never told me I would have to go to school. My parents home- schooled me for preschool and don't remember in preschool all you did was color, play games, and do show and tell? Since that was all I did I didn't know I would go to school where I would actually have to do something that didn't involve myself having fun and me getting my way. The morning of my first day to kindergarten, that I didn't know about! My dad came into my room and said, " Lis, get up!," and I never getting up for anything 'till ten screamed out to my dad, " Why it is a weekday, Mom said I get to pick when school starts, and today I have decided seven- thirty!" My dad was really mad that I had said that to him so I kinda got yelled at for a really long time 'till I understood I was going to a place called public school where I would be with a real teacher. Okay, I did not get that he ment there would be other people with me so I am still not getting it! "Lis, Get in the car time to go!" I got in the car ready to meet my "personal" teacher. I get to school and there is a bunch of kids going in so I just figure there are a lot of teachers for a lot of kids. I go in with my dad and he taked me to a classroom with a lot of kids. I look around and there is only one adult not including my dad. Well, I thought how can there be one teacher and this many kids? " Hello, kids I am your teacher, Mrs. Laced. I will be your teacher for the rest of this year. Please take a seat." I am really confused now! As I sit down at a close seat to where I was standing I see a bunches of kids cluster into different groups. Mrs. Laced continued, " If you need to ask me something please just raise your hand, like Lis Cadey..... Yes, Lis!" I started to say something but it came out as a mumble. " Do you have something to say?" She asked me. " When are we going to meet our teachers ? " She looked at me in a really weird way, then changed her face quickly. " Honey, I am your teacher." I was humiliated that day. I understood it perfectly right after she said that.
