This is the second of my Water poems written in 2006
Three Minutes Underwater

Inside these pools there are no limits,no chains to enslave me

I am fluid, and supple in the realm one minute underwater.

Welcome to my utopia! Put all your fears aside and step into a place of pure innocence.Feel free to wade around in the tides until the feast of fools.

Now you are two minutes underwater.

Until I sink my feet in the world of King Neptune and ask for three wishes.

Wish number one, grant me gills and fins!

Wish number two, grant me the shapely mermaidens form!

Wish number three, grant me a home in a scallop shell!

In a tiny cove at the bottom of the sea where sublime elixir swirls in every chalice and tables groan with shellfish neighbors.

Ah,the magik number three minutes underwater. Time twisting when voices of mood echo.I am but a whisper away you are not mad who dream when awake.

We are not alone within these water walls  .I am half of what I used to be but half again more than I used to be.

Excuse this poets use of the mundane in plain speak  I slide over and so under the coral and sand bars.

One minute underwater,

Two minutes underwater,

Three minutes underwater.
