A very good descriptive short story
Street ball time
The crowd cheering pumped me up; I felt my heart thump hard against my chest, as if it were going to burst out at any moment. The adrenalin surging all round my body because I knew as soon as I came under the lights on "Venice beach" it would be time to play the game and there is only one option you have and that is to win. You come out to the booming audacity of the crowd and you match up to your opponent knowing it will be a match of skills and mentality, here height didn’t matter. You receive the ball determined to get to the rim and once you fake one way and go the other way, to your opponent it’s all a blur and before anyone can deny you, you throw the ball down through the hoop and hear the chains dangling rattle. Now it was time to flaunt and show off because you had just won the game and you knew there was going to be no option of losing.
