a poem about weariness and desire to survive
(1)          Now and then the earth moves underneath my feet.
“Quake; quake!” I shiver doing my best not to go under
For what lies underneath is unbearable weight of past sins.

(2)          ‘Atonement child’ awake ‘Atonement child’ or do you not care if I perish?

(3)          The cracks;  apparent lines that echo my travails past. Ghosts that refuse to cross over, lingering on this side to remind me of all I have failed to succeed at.

(4)          ‘Atonement child’ lift up your hands to sustain the daylight sun! For I am weary of my running, the sins of my youth must not catch up.
