What in the world is a "Passy" ? Answer = Pacifier

She cried and whined.

We were inclined

to give her a passy.

To help her sleep.

Now it gave us some peace

and some time.

I wonder now if we were out of our minds.

The passy worked.

And it didn’t hurt.

Unless it was lost

because it was tossed.

It was two in the morning.

I hit the road

about to explode.

From the lack of sleep.

My eyes were glassy

buying a new passy.

To take it home.

What have we done?

This was not fun.

It was time to break her.

It was very hard.

Our minds were in shards.

Throw it away!

The last thing we’d say.

We finally did.

Now were rid

of our miserable passy.

She cried and whined

and it took a long time.

That was thirty two years ago.

We thought we were done

now we're breaking her two year old son.

The passy lives on!
