When the person who was suppose to love and protect you... (poetry)
You're scared to move. Your body is tense. You try to bring yourself to think everything is fine. Why are you trembling? Why are you scared? What is making you feel this way? You can feel your baby moving. Your bladder is full but you're too scared to go to the washroom. Why are you breathing heavily? Love was not suppose to make you feel this way. Love was suppose to be unconditional, not bring you down with words. Love doesn't make it out to be your fault. Love was suppose to work. But yet, here you sit. Scared to move. These memories from your past resurface. Being that little girl, clutching her doll tightly, as she heard her drunken parents fight in the other room. The one you love, wasn't suppose to be making you feel like that little girl that hid beneath those covers.
Your tears start to rim your eyes. no one will wipe them away, for the one that you want the most to; is the one that is making you scared
