Not sure what to make of this, was written as an exercise in creative writing group
The grass glittering, glistening in the pale moon-light
A ghostly sheen, swaying gently in the drifting breeze
A steady trickling,
The sounds of the river alive with life
As midnight arrives,
Insects busily swarming,
In their nightly pursuits
The fish jump in, out, in, out
A fleck of gold, yellow, red
Vivid flashes
In the eerie night dark
The moon shines down
Casting its luminous reflection
Upon the shimmering river surface
Slowly walking in the gently drifting breeze
Alongside the river
The sound of life, the smell of life
Thick in the atmosphere
Calm
A sense of peace, joy
Minutes slowly tick by
Ever so slowly
Then back along the river bank on foot by moonlight
Before the sun rises
Its gleaming brilliance heralding the new day
