"a dark-dressed burglar, breaking and entering...couldn’t be smugger"
Once there was a dark-dressed burglar,
Breaking and entering, who couldn’t be smugger,
Slipped in through the window to swipe a lot
Of their valuable possessions, money, and what not!

A little boy heard him sneaking around their house,
For this burglar made noise, unlike a mouse.
He told his mother about the intruder,
And the mother swore to put a hole in this burglar…

The woman approached him with a gun for the occasion,
Spotted the thief, and yelled, “Hey!” for persuasion,
Showed him the gun and told him not to move,
Then dialed the police, and to the scene they drove…

This burglar now knew that his crime spree had failed;
Soon he’d be handcuffed, hauled off, and jailed…
He’d been such a rude thug, but so ill-prepared,
Met a lady whose gun, no one was spared…
