A poem (for an anthology) for beautiful Maria
Sweet Love

A tryst on the morn
Gathering moss on a wild lawn
Simple words whispered on the wind
A calm, yet effervescent mood settles over you

And you’ll know…

Swirls like a phantom notion
This secret potion
Its insinuation engulfs us like crystal fire
As we plunge into a pond of mythical wonders

Oh, I know…

We stroll like apparitions in a forgotten meadow
Lost in a cove where the coral moon reigns
Whilst the willowy afterglow of time infuses
Only dreams

Only then, yes…

Shall our souls know true synchronicity
As we bathe tenderly
In the moist eventide expectancy
Of love
