Contemplating the affect of looking into oneself, my own expierience in mind.
      The mirror

Look into the mirror,
tell me what you see.
I see a woman starring back
the woman looks like me.
Who is she? asks the mirror.
Can you see into her soul?
I look again but turn away,
there's way to much in this bowl.
Like a soup that has been brewing,
and added to over the years.
I cannot see in the mirror now,
for it brings a flood of tears.
Look again! The mirror says
I wont let you give in.
Untill you truly see yourself
your life cannot fully begin.
I try again and I can see
ingredients of many kind,
that make this bowl of soup i see,
the obstacles in my mind.
The mirror whispers soflty
as i try to fight back tears,
you've all the ingredients you need now
gathered through the years.
Hardship, mistakes and moments of glory,
you learn through all you do.
The pieces to the puzzle you see.
The key you seek is you!
I pause a moment and look again
through tear stained eyes i see,
a woman I did not know before,
the woman inside of me.
