A box cocked to it's side
a cow-boy killer topples upon
my palm
surgeon generals warning..
i grasp a coffin nail.
fingertips strong and bold
my other hand holds the flame
the first drag always seems to
be the best drag

Inhale
Hot embers seem to cool
my nerves
Exhale.
My pupils erupt with
a darkened shimmer .
another desire accomplished
my blackened lungs
cough up a sign of satisfaction
