written quite recently at a time of complete and irrefutable boredom....
I’m living life in technicolour now,
For black and white had seemed so drab…
All the tears by now are frozen,
Shards of ice, my heart they stab…
Smiling face and tortured eyes,
Bubbling laughter, dying soul,
Time has failed once more to heal,
But on the heart taken its toll…
Emptiness is all that’s left inside…
So with drops of colour it I try to fill…
Somehow despite my frantic efforts,
The rainbow never passes the windowsill…
All the yearning goes unanswered…
Soundless cries begging for aid…
Laughter faded from the heart,
And yet the smile somehow has stayed…
A hellish nightmare behind bright eyes,
Is it fake or is it real?
I can truly tell no more…
What is it I really feel?
Burnt and bruised, am I healed or still healing?
Some semblance of sanity I try to grab…
I’m living life in technicolour now,
For black and white had seemed so drab…
