Can you die from a Dream?
Have you ever wondered  about those dreams where your falling and falling then just before you hit the hard dark ground you wake up sweating and your heart pounding away in your chest.  And then you think to yourself damn could I have died in my dream if I had hit that ground.

Well let me tell you about what happened to me when I had  just that kind of dream a month ago.

It was a long cold night in New Jersey where I live,  the house was closed up tight for the night. It was late everyone; but me were tucked up in bed fast asleep. But not me, I was wide awake trying to keep the nightmares away. For three weeks now I have had scary dreams of demons and monsters chasing me or dreams where the ground would just open up and swallow me whole. But a few nights ago it all changed in my dream I felt that the time had come that life as I knew it was about to change forever.  Then BAM! I was falling and falling fast into the dark cold night no sounds could be heard no voice or scream would come from my lips.  I knew some how some way the ground was rushing up to me.  I told myself wake up, wake up now damn it! Then I was jumping out of my bed drenched with cold sweat. My heart was racing so fast in my chest it hurt to breath. I shook from fear my knees where nothing but jello not the bone and muscle they should have been. I turned and looked around at the familiar surroundings wondering how could that dream feel  so real. I could not rest after that knowing something was about to happen. I sat down on my bed and looked around expecting something or someone to jump from the shadows to get me. The next day was a fog I was tired and weary. I could not focus on my school work or what the teaches were teaching in class. My mind would not stop going over the fear or the feelings I felt in that dream.  So that Night I stayed awake knowing this would be it, but it did not help. The next day I was so tiered and my teachers would yell at me to pay attention. I was mad No one knew what was happening and they would not believe me even if I did tell them. Hell It happened to me and I still don't believe it.
Well that night I tried to stay awake but at some point my tiered body and mind had fallen asleep. The dream started out nice and sunny I was in the park with my dog playing fetch then the sky turned to black the sun to a blood red color a pain as sharp as a knife sliced threw my head. Then I fell and the ground opened up to black space. I was falling the hot wind rushed passed my face and whistled in my ears. I cried out for help knowing no one was there to help me. I twisted and turned in the air try helplessly for something to grab on too, but nothing but air was there.  Then I saw it the ground and it was rushing up at me at a very fast pace.  And I knew It was all over.

Then there was nothing but blackness no air no light,no sound, nothing just the darkness.
As I drifted in the darkness I thought of all the things I never got to do the loved ones I never told how much they meant to me.  The things that I would have done different if I had a chance. I knew this was the end but I never knew this was how It would end. A light  started to grow around me and it slowly got bigger as I watched I saw my friends and family standing around a grave on a cold cloudy day in Winter. As I watched my dear sweet mother collapsed as they slowly lowered the coffin deep int to to cold hard ground. It was at that point I knew I died in my sleep from a fall.

So Yes my dear friends do not ever reach the ground if you can for the next thing you may see is your body being laid to rest!
