I am an amateur photographer & I wrote this about the images that get stuck in my head.
Imagine.
Images in my head
no matter where I am or who I’m with;
they appear.

Eyes open, eyes closed;
they come just the same.
They appear from beyond the outside world.

          Open the eyes of my heart
          let me see what you want me to see.

My eyes have become the lenses of my camera
whether I have it on hand or it’s missing in action,
I see an image take shape.
Crystal clear.

The angle, position, shading, and colour
remain stuck in my brain.
Every time I walk past the spot or see the object
the image returns.

          Never ceasing.
          Ever increasing.

Until, with camera in hand,
the image is captured from the world that’s only for me
for the world to see.
What I imagined becomes a reality.

Imagine to image.
Start to finish.
Beginning to end.
Just like that.
