Even when someone destroys your heart, you'd give them the pieces again if they asked.
My heart has roots
Spreading through my veins
Buried deep in your bed,
Your dresser, your fridge
I can't leave without my roots
My veins
Ripping through my skin
Shredding me
Scarring me
I want my wish back
The one I made
The day you kissed me in the rain
How can I sleep
Without
Your skin against my skin?
How can I wake up
Without
Your smile and your kiss
I want to hold you
Every night when you sleep
I want to hold you
When you're falling apart
You were the calm to my storm
I tried to be the rainbow in your sky
My skin is still broken and raw
But I'd let you take root in my heart again
