An anti-love poem.
I smiled as you took my hand
Laughed as you joked around and
Wiped your tears when your dog died
Forgave you when you told me you lied
Watched you walk away from us
Put up with you and all your fuss
Talked to you throughout the night
Apologised after every fight
I cared for you when no one else could
I never left you, though I knew I should
So I’ll scream it to the world out loud
And maybe then you won't be so proud
You broke my heart, can't you see
When you walked away from me
I’ll write it in blood upon the ground
So my feelings for you can easily be found
Truth be told, I hate who you are
You trashed my house and crashed my car
I hate everything you’ve become
I hate that you and me are done
I hate the words you speak everyday
And I hate the words you used to say
I hate the way you kiss goodbye
And how you want to touch the sky
I hate that you dream so much
And that I still love your touch
I hate you, I hope you see
I hate you for breaking me.
