Taste of falling rain

Wind plays in the trees
Dark heavens speak angry thoughts
And the world turns grey

Tension will not hold
All at once the sky lets go
And the water reigns

Rivulets of water
Will pour through crack and cobweb
Carry old away

Once it’s had its way
The sky will part for gladness,
Warmth and sunny gold

Cloud fall and water
Leaving the world free of age
New and sparkling green
