A young father goes back over days with his kids, travels, life. Soulful and funny.
[Introduction]
This is a short piece of free writing intended to bring a smile, wrench a tear, or smuggle a laugh. It is about a young man and his young kids, an extremely sentimental man who contemplates life often from every angle, often opposing and contradicting, moody, realistic, dis-contented but capturing the beauty of his life in written words. He only lives in the moment when he is writing and it is only through his writing that he sees truth and the joy that he still has in his life. In living he is unsettled, discontented with work, his wife, and feels he has missed out on the great opportunities his life through making poor choices. His writing forces him to laugh again as he returns to the moments that at the time he was too despondent and unhappy to enjoy.
