A girl and her mother-a poem

“Mommy, will you color with me? “
“No, of course not, silly. I have no time to
color. I have a house to run! Bad girl !"

"Mommy, will you play dolls with me?"
" No! ADULTS don't play with dolls.
Go away, Bad Girl. You're bothering me."

"Mommy, why did Daddy go away?"
"Because you drove him away, Bad Girl!"
"Will he ever come back?"
"No, never. Why would he want to come
back to you, Bad Girl?"

"Mom, I have a date. What should I wear?"
"It doesn't matter. Nothing you've got looks
decent on you, Bad Girl."

"Mom, will you help me pick out my Prom dress?"
"You don't need a new dress. You just got one
at Easter. Wear that, Bad Girl."

"Mom, I'm getting married!!! Are you happy for me?"
"Just don't expect me to pay for or help plan the
wedding, and when you get divorced, don't
come running home to me! I've supported
you long enough, Bad Girl!"

Well, don't worry, Mother.
After all these years,
I've finally stopped bothering you.
