I'm Searching, but will I find? And Oddly structured thought.
I am a prisoner of my own delay,
There is an exit I have lost the map to.
I have walked this hall along the way,
There is a path I was sure I passed through.

I plod on ahead, it all looks the same,
a perfect recreation of whence I had come.
To break from this cycle, to finish the game,
I feel a detachment, and perfectly numb.

My thoughts wander freely, the same as my eyes,
And take in surroundings I 'm sure I have known.
Has my mind set me searching, seeking a prize?
Or something more sinister, a curveball I'm thrown?

My ultimate goal, my escape from the prison,
I'm settled in, grimly resigned to the quest.
And so know I'll travel, both fallen and risen,
To parts unknown, and lay my journey to rest.
