short work that reflects a situation with a friend of mine
As if you don’t know who I am you seek the answers to your questions in the darkness that is your mind, your soul, you cry for help but turn away when I offer it to you, you pray for freedom but keep running away to the prison of your fears the prison you built in the ocean of tears you cried when he walked away from you for the first time, made greater when he left you again, yet you let him back once more as if you are asking for pain for heartache for bounds of this so called love that you feel yet you say that you wish to be let go and he will again and your fortress and sea shall double in size for this time he swore he would never let go of you but you watch his back as he turns again and you cry on my shoulder once more asking me why as if I know all the answers but you still turn my answers away for they are not what you want to hear, you run from the truth like shadows run from light and yet I still hold my candle trying to help you find your way back.
