A freethought poem about a man seeking out his mother and his journey.
What lies beneath the tree's tall shade
And roams along the everglades
A single being and so unnamed
Who roams among the glade.

His steed is of the arabic place
His clothes all come from out that place
His beard a day or two upon his face
This man who roams the glade

His life is spent in search of she
Who left his life when he was three
A feeble life in serch of she
This man who roams the glade

His tears stream down upon his chin
From memories of days back when
She loved him so and called him kin
This woman of the glade.

He wanders on, his quest unfilled
His heart grows tired of love unspilled
So he goes about his day of nil
Searching out the glade.

One day perhaps he'll fufill his quest
And put behind him all his unrest
And find the she that his breast
Among the tired glade.

But for now those thoughts are far away
Somewhere in another day
Somewhere deep inside to stay
Far from the darken glade.
