A Poem About Enjoying Coffee
Coffee

I’m sitting outside

On an old leather recliner

On the front porch

Sipping my warm coffee

In a glass

European style

Lots of creamer

Four artificial sweeteners

Just right

Its early fall

Night time

You can taste the season

I taste my coffee

I hold the warm glass

Like cuddled next to a fire

The air is chilled

The sky cloudy

The moon peeks out

There is a fog

You can make out the outlines

Trees and the fence

The farm is peaceful

The goats and cows

Are bedded down for the night

You can hear in the distance

Dogs barking

And crickets

This moment is perfect

Peaceful

Divine

I thank God

For giving me

This moment

Coffee
