Recovery from darkness of depression to light of friendship
Out of the darkness into the light
My eyes now behold something
beautiful and bright.

The window to my world
once filled with gloom
is light and cheerful
free of the doom
you pulled me out of the
hell of depression and
gave me hope
a new inspiration.

I've reconnected
With my family and friends
It seems this is how
A broken mind mends

A smile has replaced
The frown and the tears
An unfamiliar feeling
That’s been missing for years

Its amazing how one call
Can change your life
Reminiscing the old days,
Good memories, times lost

I can't change the past
or the times I have missed but
I can move forward now with my Family
and Friends for they are the heartbeat
that keeps me alive and thanks to them I know I’ll survive.

Dedicated to my husband for standing by me thru the darkness, my sister Terri for helping me reconnect with family in Florida, all my family across the miles for letting me back into their lives and my friends Joan and JoAnn for helping me realize how important friends are, Thank you all.
