struggle, pain, perseverence
La Carrera

My heart pounds beneath the surface,
begging to be released,
tearing at my chest for freedom.
My legs ache with pain,
screaming with each slam of my foot,
hot with anger.
Everything in me cries with agony.
My mind lunges at my heart,
knowing its only weakness.
YOU CAN'T.
It hurts. It destroys me. I can't.
Strength pours from every part of me.
Everything around me begins to blur,
consumed by weakness.
Run it through. I know I can.
