Fay just wanted to live a normal college student's life, but one night sent her running.
"Oy!" Fay yelled particularly loud at particularly no one. She was thoroughly frustrated with her psychology reading. She didn't understand a bloody word of it and to a certain degree she didn't bloody care.

Fay was sitting on her dorm room bed. It had some colorful blankets on it. Her computer was on the desk next to her bed and the song "Home" by Chris Daughtry was blaring from it. The window let in what little sun was left in to the room. All of a sudden the door swung wide open and her tall brown eyed, brown haired roommate, Kelsey, walked in singing Fay's name.

"You want to go to supper?" she asked Fay. Then she grabbed the book Fay was holding and took a look at it. "Even if you've only done 5 minutes of this, you've done it for too long. So you should take a break and come to supper." she said and put the book back in Fay's hands. Normally, Kelsey believed that doing homework was important, but when it came to psychology, she had a totally different opinion. She saw psychology as nothing but a way to let guilty criminals have a poor excuse to get out of much deserved punishment. So she also saw the class as a waste of time. Fay, while not sure all psychology was bunk, didn't have a great opinion of it either, but that was mostly because she didn't understand it and that made it hard for her to get a decent grade in the class.

"Yeah." Fay answered. "Going to supper is a good idea." She stood up and pulled a blue sweatshirt over her blonde waves, then she gave Kelsey a quick hug and turned to open the door. The moment she did, she was greeted by Matt. "Hey, Matt." she smiled and gave the boy with brown hair and brown eyes a hug. He was even taller then Kelsey. "How's my big brother?" Matt was not really Fay's big brother, that was just what she had come to know him as ever since the spring semester of their freshman year at college. They teased eachother and looked out for each other like siblings, so they decided to call each other big brother and little sister.

"I'm fine, and how's my little sister?" Matt answered.

"Frustrated with psych, like usual."

Kelsey smiled at Matt, kissed him on the cheek, and took his hand. Matt and Kelsey were engaged. They had been for 3 weeks now and had been dating for two years.

Soon all three of them were walking towards the cafeteria. Fay took a look at Matt and Kelsey's intertwined fingers and smiled. Right now a lot of things seemed confusing, but the Matt and Kelsey's relationship was concrete and that sort of thing always made Fay smile.

Once they got into the cafeteria, Fay looked to see what was in the main line. It looked like goop, certainly nothing she wanted so she looked to see how long the line was for pasta and saw that it was starting to go out the door, so she settled for the sandwich line. She wasn't extremely hungry anyway. After getting two slices of whole wheat bread and two slices of American cheese she headed over to a table where a bunch of friends were.

Joe was talking with Eric about their characters from World of Warcraft. Giselle who was considered Fay's twin and Laura were talking about what their dream weddings would be like, they were inspired by Matt and Kelsey. Fay sat down next to Giselle and started looking around the table. She smiled.

"Those psychology people think they have the world figured out", she thought. "They should try sitting at our group's table sometime." This group was sort of like a little family. They sat at every meal they could together, and they could have 9 conversations with only 7 people going on at one time about entirely different topics, which meant you were in more then one conversation. Somehow these people were able to not only keep up with more then one conversation at a time, but also able to leave all of them for long enough to get a beverage or a cookie and come back to it and act like they missed nothing. It was great. Fay loved it.

Then Fay silently said grace, broke a piece of cheese and proceeded to put it into her mouth, just as she was about to swallow, someone grabbed her from behind, arm around her neck, she felt something cold and metally touch her temple. Then a voice which was vaguely familiar said with gritted teeth, "You're life will be longer the less you struggle."
