A reflection on 11 years as a dad.
Wrapped in a soft blanket of yellow,
she holds my heart in chubby fingers,
wrapped in a soft blanket of yellow.

Around her crib an angel surely lingers
listening to prayers in joyous vigil.
She holds my heart in chubby fingers.

With love my heart continues to swell
God smiles as I give thanks for this gift,
listening to prayers in joyous vigil.

To my heart I gently and carefully lift
my smiling and cooing baby girl.
God smiles as I give thanks for this gift

Right now all is perfect in the world.
Nothing else compares to you,
my smiling and cooing baby girl.

11 years later I believe it is true.
Nothing else compares to you
wrapped in a soft blanket of yellow.
Wrapped in a soft blanket of yellow.
