Short simple piece on a loved one leaving.
You know how they say
That all we gotta do is pray
This, I really can't deny
But sometimes it's like, why?

The white clouds fill the big blue
How, I really have no clue.
Just like when you tell us you're gone.
I nod and think, how to move on.

You say it'll take some time.
So I sit down and try not to pine.
Then I suddenly think of you.
And all resolutions disappear from view.

I find myself standing at your door.
Forgetting all my supposed chores.
A finger lifted to the bell.
I thought I knew your footsteps well.

But when, at your porch stood a stranger.
Life never seemed any crazier.
