Just something I thought up on a sad night
We started on the dark winters coast, standing alone, staring at the falling stars in the sky
And no words were spoken, no one dared break the silence, to change the moments we shared
Burning fires, ashes, spread across the sea, effigies to their tumultuous lives now nonexistent
Behind us the clouds immersed the desolate cities, the snow cascaded, destroying all that stood
The ground shook with a pulse of impending wrath, winds carved away the footprints we left in the sand
We were unsafe, the skies now swallowed the world as they opened from above
Vicious hail and unbridled fire plummeted towards the world as the stars drew closer and closer
-The escape, impossible. Our fates, sealed. What is there to do?
When therefore we stood, that fateful day I grabbed her hand and asked her to join me in fate
From then on we held each other close our grasp unbreakable and we, together, watched on as the show played
Watching red and blue stars fall from the lining of the glaring horizon into the oceans and the world surrounding us
When the hellfire ended we walked towards the edge of the galaxies and saw what no other could see
Embracing the edge of the line I placed my foot on the other side, she did the same
Together we fell from the endless chaos, still grasping her hand, time decided to stop forever
