I hope you like it! :)
My feet wander around, like my mind doesn't care. Where they go or what they do. Going wherever i wish to go. Not where someone wants me to go. My bare feet are senseless as the frigid ground fights against my feet. The grass is solidified and frozen, making it a dispute to carry on. Although I kept going, my feet taking the reigns. Full control of me.
I see myself in a forest. The deep November trees were hard and leafless. It is a sad thing really, like a life without God. No leaves to protect you as the rain and storm comes down. No place to hide you from the intruding lightning. Then I thought about their bark. It is like a person without love. They are uncovered and revealed as hopeless. Everyone has love, don't tell me you do. Never tell you don't. Everyone is loved and loves someone else. Married, dating, or just friends? It is love. I carry on as I caressed each tree with my open hand. Examining their flaws. Just like people once again. We all have flaws that people can spot, they can point them out. There is also flaws on the inside. Eating away at your soul. No one can see them, but there's still something wrong. The tree is masking its misery. It is standing tall and mighty, like we do sometimes. Although inside, it is cold and thirsts for rain.
The sun at eventide. The nightfall closing in. Although enough light left to make out the path I need. I look up slowly and notice the sky. Brilliant orange, mixed together with a radiant pink. Just a hint of baby blue on the fringe of it all. The golden sun sets beneath the tree line. It carries onto the horizon. On the other side of the earth the sun is rising to start a new day. Here the day is just ending. People are reading their bibles and saying their prayers. Thinking of the ones they love. Knowing tomorrow will be a new day. That it will be different. Erasing the melancholy memories from their minds once and for all. Looking forward to yet another day to live.
My feet carry on and I grow cautious. I am thinking about it growing too dark. My feet race in the shadowy air to arrive at the destination. Whatever it may be, I figure it must be worth it. I am panting each breath as the air grew thin. The area around me was becoming eerie.
My heart pounded heavy in my chest. I came to an edge. A rather steep edge. A leap of faith I would call it, I couldn't see anything. My foot drew forward, and i tried to shift it back. It didn't work. As my other foot took the same direction without hesitation.
I fell downwards as my hair stirred around above me. I landed in about three seconds. It wasn't far at all. More like a little step. Although the distance was only around a little step, it doesn't change the leap of faith. For it could have been 1 foot or 100 feet yet I wouldn't know the difference. I wonder why my feet brought me down here for just that. Just then I rotated my head to the back of me. I see a small entrance to something. It is lit up and welcoming, like someone would want you to come in. I got to my shifted my position, and my knees and hands began to crawl. Through the entrance, to the light. A leap of faith.
