Warrior Cat Short Story #1: Icecloud

Icecloud was born in Iceclan. She had a magical healing touch that no other cats knew about.

She was raised as a warrior by her mentor, Loudhiss. Two days after she had been given her warrior name, her beloved mentor Loudhiss died of feline leukemia.

To cope with the loss of her mentor, she decided to choose a mate. She chose the handsome young tom, Thornpelt, as her mate.

They fell in love and decided to have *kits. They tried four times before Leafsnow, the clan's *medicine cat, told her that she would probably never have kits.

Icecloud was devastated. And to make things worse, just a month after the terrible news, Thornpelt died of an illness the cats call *greencough.

She turned to her friend, Leafsnow, to get through the tradgedy. She did not know that she was about to lose her best friend as well.

Eight weeks after Thornpelt's death, on a beautiful day, Leafsnow had gone to pick herbs in the forest. Icecloud went to check on her after she had been gone for a terribly long time, only to find Leafsnow's dead body half-eaten, and the scent of badger all over her.

Leafsnow had not trained an apprentice to be the next medicine cat, and Icecloud had always had a strong connection with *Starclan because of her healing touch, so she decided to let Rustpad, a very old Starclan medicine cat who knew of her gift, train her to be the medicine cat.

She is now Iceclan's medicine cat and speaks with Leafsnow often in her dreams. She had a hard life, and has still always wanted kits, but she managed to get through life because of her strong will.
