I wrote this after my grandfather lost his battle with cancer.
He lays alone
Staring blankly across the room
Knowing his fate
Doom

So much time has passed
Entering into a new paradox
Accepting going below
Rocks

Do it now
Pouring down tears like rain
Easing his regrets found in this world
Pain

Flip the switch
Giving into the disease within
Pulling the plug on life
Win

The room grows dark
Creeping cold settles this December
Wishing things could go back to they way they used to be
Remember

The quarters fall silent
Lifting from this retched bed but not alone
Trembling overtakes all who see
