Love is gone and life goes on
Change of Seasons

The sky has darkened nothing blue.
The cold wind blowing thru and thru.
The trees stripped naked shiver so,
So does the love that has grown cold.

Once warm and bright just as the sun
The love of two became as one.
Each day discovering something new
As fresh as early morning dew.

But, now the sun has ceased to shine
No longer warms the heart and mind.
Like refuse thrown, no longer needed
So to the heart that is mistreated.

Each day brings pain and ache of heart
Hoping, wishing it does depart.
Longing for a change in seasons
Life to live for brand new reasons.
