A soldier recieves a letter from home
They try to hide their pain,
through laughter and a joke.
but as a tear rolled down one soldier,
nobody spoke.
The others looked upon him,
with concern in their eyes,
what the heaven is wrong my friend,
and don't tell no lies.
All was quiet, in the room,
then the soldier spoke.
He had a letter in his hand,
this is what his mamma wrote.
We miss you so, we love you so,
for your so far away.
We want you to be safe back home,
we're waiting for that day.
We know what your doing,
we appreciate it very much,
but being so far away,
it's hard to stay in touch.
I will say good-bye to you,
for I love you so.
You take care and have some fun,
I love you...take care....son.
........Mamma.......
Not another soldier spoke,
as he left the room.
The soldier had a letter to write,
and had to write it soon.
