I wrote this poem 7 years ago when I was in 5th grade.
I look over the country and what do I see
a giant eagle standing in front of me
He picks me and carries me far
I duck my head to avoid a bar
He carries me high
til' we touch the sky
Then there are stars all around me
I ask him to bring closer so I can see
I hold a star close to me
then he carries me back down fast Weeee
He carries me to the shore like before
and I look out over the country once more
