A recent poem
It was a howl that separated
man from woman
and it was a howl that separated truth from lie.
And it was a howl that separated meaning from obscurity
guiding
and  enlightening us
and teaching by their mistakes.
That long
High
Primal
lack of voice
that will always be the howl on which we
built our reason.

And when we built our voice
And we built our rhythm
And we built our
form
our past
our present
our history as we saw it we built it
we howled
and around our feet we rejected our claim
to the past we had earned
and the echo that had gifted us
genesis.

and we were ungrateful.
