East or West home is best
I long for home
For long walks
Amid swaying trees
The song of birds in the air

I long for home
The darkness ever silent
The whispers in the night
of secrets well concealed

I long for home
a place better than most
where love defies all
and unity conquers fall

I long for victory
against weakness for
Times already past
Wars long fought

I long for peace
Rest in time of war
Sounds of creatures in the night
Their words so right
