A sad poem
Black Sky, Black Sky

Black sky, Black sky,
Why does the day die?
Stars and northern lights,
All that shine through somber nights.

Pitch-black clouds roll by,
Quiet as a lullaby;
Veils floating through the heights,
Masking the day’s delights.

O dark and dreary nights,
Why do I cry?
I hear a breeze and sigh,
The night wind will not reply.

And so I sit and cry,
Alone, the dark and I.
