A daughters word that are never heard by her father before he dies..
~~~Dear Daddy~~~
by Shannon Boice-Dontas
Daddy,
I know I may seem selfish,
To think the way I do,
But we got a late start in life,
Unlike most Daddy's and daughters do,
I still had so much to tell you,
And oh so much to say,
But now I can only write you letters,
That I burn each fathers day,
I hope my words are carried to you,
By the wind to the sky above,
So you will know what you meant to me,
And the depth of your daughters love,
If God gave me just one more question,
It certainly would be,
Did I come to disappoint you,
Or were you proud of me,
They say with time pain eases,
With each passing day we are apart,
But the truth is it isn't easier,
But you ll forever be in my heart,
I miss you daddy
