The cost of silence
Three small words
That I could never convey.
Ignorance is bliss
Or so they say.
Three tiny syllables
That I would never believe.
My mind left stagnant
As I watch you leave.
Three simple terms
That I never confessed.
Something so simple
And I’m failing at best.
Three little words
That echo in my head.
The same three words
I have hollowly left unsaid.
Three little words…
And they’re as empty as me.
