Interlude to my first Novel. BISCTS = Boarding School for the Criminally Troubled Students
“There was something different about that morning, all those years ago, all the animals were quiet and agitated, the town was on edge for a reason no one could quite put a finger on, even the breeze that always blew south instead blew north, directing my sight to what would change my life forever.

The sunrise showed naught the hearty red orange hue that usually gleamed over the mountains, instead the sunrise glistened off the mountains to shower my vision with a bright grey light, silver light now that I think upon it, yes…silver…

Slowly, the silver light grew into a bubble and began to expand. I called out to my mother, to show her what had befallen upon my eyes.

Unexplainably time seemed to slow as she looked up at me, then to the light, her eyes widened in… fear perhaps, or awe, I suppose it doesn’t matter.

The light’s slow infestation stopped, its outward motion a standstill, but its interior light began to churn, swirl… and then drastically expand.

My mother yelled out a word foreign to my ears as the light burst forth and flooded throughout… everything… A protective barrier appeared in front of me, set by my mother.

Yet the light would not be denied, it encompassed everything, snapping my mother’s barrier like a twig. Yet it seemed after all it did not desire me, it passed me, like a noble would pass the poor, without a glance.

Not only did my entire village vanish on that day, but the mountain, the forest; everything was gone in an incomprehensive area, everything…everything excluding me…”
