My life book of incest, drug abuse and survivorial.

I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Connie Jane Hall Lowrey and Jack Curtis Lowrey. I am one of four daughters born into the marriage. I married my husband, Gregory Dee in Cameron, Missouri - his hometown. I am the mother of six children, four daughters - Brittanya, Brooklynn, Gillian, Gwendolen, and two sons - Geoffery and Brenden. I met my husband when I was 15 years old. We lost contact when I moved and then later met up when I was 21 years old in North Platte, Nebraska. I have some college education, worked almost seven years at the local newspaper and grew up surrounded by journalism by my father.
While working at the newspaper, I believe with the help of a editor named Dave Simpson and another real close co-worker and boss, Pat Dannatt, that writing a book about my life would be the self healing I would need. My husband knew that all day long I could write and rewrite like a mad woman, but his belief in me made me decide that it was time to step up and get everything in the open, maybe help someone along the way. Needless to say I think the main person that will get help from this book is myself as well as others who can’t find a voice or a way to heal themselves. If just one person is touched by what I went through in my life, maybe just maybe others can too.
A counselor once told me, the only way to learn and grow from my past is to allow myself to continue living for the future.
"Don’t let the past run your life, let the past shape your future."
This is my past and its how I am shaping my future.

I started writing my book in type within this last year. I am a surviovr of incest. My biological father the abuser. I have been rewriting my book for many., many years. I finally started typing it into the computer and have had an emotional roller coaster during the process. I have past bosses and co-workers encouraging me to get whatever I can out to whoever would listen. My father was sent to prison in Missiour and was released. I have since reunited with him in 2006 to try to get answers to questions concerning the abuse. It was emotional and to this day we stay in contact at least once a week. This is a beginning of my book above and it worries me how I have written it. I think it needs more information or at least a better start to getting to know me before reading about my life.
