It was not as great once I opened the gate
Sometimes I wish I could fly away
Far from here – away from fear
To a land of peace where I feel so at ease;
The paths we chose are of in some instances skewed
By troubles beyond the forces of good;
Out of desperation they twist and turn encompassing our souls therein;
Our hearts entrapped in this rat race of hate;
Mine is over the race that is
It was not as great one I opened the gate;
Deceit, insecurity, disgrace and disgust
Respect was lost to the great preferential cost
Like Dorothy finding the Land of Oz;
Now do I seek the yellow road made of brick
