a poem on a child hiding inside herself from her pain.
inside my shell I crawled back in
I still exist to those who care a fig

they will lure me out to day again
speak to my soul and soothe it

tears will soak the shell as I shiver
interior will fall apart, windows open

blinking, I will rise again to be me
the person God wants to come back

if you love me, cry for me, soften my shell
water it till I love, trust again to help others
